Hilton Head Island, SC (November 2024)
I took a driving trip to Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, from Central Florida. My only previous visit to Hilton Head was in the late 1970s. Disney Vacation Club opened Disney’s Hilton Head Resort there in 1996, and seeing it was the principal reason for this trip, and, as a DVC Member, that is where I stayed on this visit (with the linked post over on ASDHollywood.com).
The photos in this album are other sites around Hilton Head, and especially the Sea Pines Resort where I stayed with my family on my prior visit. The Lighthouse at Sea Pines was the most memorable thing from my childhood visit, and it is regularly seen on TV during golf tournaments hosted at Sea Pines.
This trip also included a day trip visit to nearby Savannah, GA, and, finally, a stop at the Buc-ee’s in St. Augustine, FL on the drive home. The full trip was November 18-21, 2024.
