Tampa-St. Pete-Gulfport (March 2026)

Since I was attending a March 26th wedding in Gulfport, FL, and that’s about a 90 minute drive away from my home (in decent to little traffic), I stayed over a couple of nights in St. Petersburg, FL. I have stayed in the Hilton St. Petersburg-Carillon before, but this time, I wandered its grounds a bit more. I had some free time on Saturday, so I visited the Seminole Hard Rock Casino in Tampa which I had driven past many times over the years (and some years ago I saw a Styx concert just across I-4 at the Amphitheater at the FL State Fairgrounds). I visited The Vinoy Resort (on the National Register of Historic Places) at the end of the weekend for a couple of hours during the informal get together with the bride and groom and their families and a few friends.
